God, we are so grateful for the gift of your awe-inspiring and sacred Creation that gives us life, brings us joy, and makes for us a beautiful home. Everything created is an expression of your Love. We are so sorry for all the ways we have failed to respect your Creation and protect the vulnerable; for all the times we turned a blind eye and chose ignorance, convenience, and selfishness over acting as responsible stewards and co-creators. We pledge to a renewal of heart and mind – to listen to your Spirit for inspiration so we can harmonize with your self-healing, self-balancing Creation. Help us become aware of how to be responsible caretakers in our daily habits and purchases, and to do everything in our power to respect and protect your sacred Creation. Lord, we know you have already given us the grace, the intelligence, and the creativity we need to heal ourselves and all you have created. Help us keep this in mind as we work together to love and praise you through all your creatures. Remind us, as in the example of the life of St. Francis, that one person can make a difference when we allow the power of your love, peace and harmony to flow through us. We allow you to make us each an instrument of your peace in relationship with all of your Creation. We ask this in the power of Jesus’ name, Amen!
